I just finished my junior year XC season (PR of 16:30) and was wondering how I should go about building speed for the indoor and outdoor track seasons. Last year my bests were 10:02, 4:40, and 2:08. This year I want to get my 800 down to 2:00 and my mile to 4:25. The problem is, I can only run a 400 in about 58 seconds, and I think my speed is really limiting my distance times. Any advice for increasing my speed (I think I'd need at least a 55 to go 2:00) over the offseason and during track would be appreciated
