This is my first time joining cross-country so I need some advice.
My schedule is the following:
Practice meet Oct 2
Practice meet Oct 10
Qualifier meet Oct 17
Championships Oct 24
Right now I don't have much fitness as I was injured from the third week of August until now so should I do base training or just go straight into the hard stuff because I don't have much time?
Obviously I'm not going to do too well this season but I still want to run the best I can. How much should I run in between the meets and how do I taper for the two important meets? Thanks
