The Cross Country season has just begun and the first race was this past weekend. I'm coming of my most solid summer training I have ever done, but a couple weeks ago I began seriously struggling from leading groups in workouts to falling to the back. My firs race was okay much slower time than I expected and many people I ran with over the summer and competed with last year are racing much faster than me. I just finished a workout that was one of my worst in recent memory. What is going on with me? I feel like I am loosing all that great summer training.
