Does anyone know where most of the teams stay (i.e. Oregon, Stanford & CU?)
I have a child that will hopefully race on 11/22 and want to be close by. We also have family friends with kids that will most likely race as well.
Thank you in advance.

Never ask a question that can be googled
Fvcking stalker.
There aren't any good hotels in Terrible Horrible. The Days Inn downtown is as good as it gets. A lot of teams stay there.

Ed Smallwood is being typically trollish and hyper-critical in his response, but he isn't too far off the mark. Terre Haute is a relatively small city and there simply aren't many hotels there...and certainly no upscale hotels.
That said, you could simply contact the Indiana State Univiersty athletic department and they would gladly offer guidance. Hosting the meet is a big deal to ISU and they do a very good job with it, so someone there will be willing to bend over backwards to help you.
Unless you're hoping to spend a lot of time hanging out with your son (which would seem unlikely since he should be concentrating on his race), you might want to consider staying in Indianapolis and making the 70-minute drive to Terre Haute on race morning. That would be your best bet if you're intent on having luxury accommodations.
1. There is no "child" racing in the NCAA champs. No "kids" either. Men and women only.
2. Lots of teams stay on the outskirts of Indianapolis (like Plainfield) or in downtown Indy. It's about an hour drive in the morning to LaVerne Gibson (and there's plenty of time since the races don't go off till noon). Plus you can go out Saturday night in Indianapolis rather than Terre Haute.
3. If you want to stay nearby your kid, ask the coach where they're planning to stay. Also ask yourself if your kid necessarily wants you to stay so nearby the day before (will they be busy hanging out with the team and mentally preparing?).
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
