Instead of running for a college and running later in life.
Instead of running for a college and running later in life.
My life would be unaffected.
Leave him alone, it doesn't affect any of us.
Who?
Had Rupp stuck with soccer and stayed away from Saleazazar my life would be just as pathetic as it currently is. Same with this Fisher guy,.
Well, I guess I'm sorry your life is so pathetic.
Just tell him not to go to Oregon and then leave mid xc season to focus on soccer. Then you're never forgiven - even if you have a nearly life ending accident.
If he does, he better do something amazing. It's going to take a lot to rival his great mile time. Best of luck to him either way though.
Hey, Mofong, the guy you're talking smack about is a better triathlete than runner. Would he have had a DL top 10 this year? No. As it is, he's leading US triathlete.
As far as Fischer, I sure hope he doesn't run. This is because if he does pursue the sport, he will do so via the NCAA system and waste the talent he has. His idiot, education-oriented (as opposed to success-oriented) parents won't tolerate running otherwise and he ain't got the balls to say "FU dad, I'm doing this, and I'm not doing it at college.". As far as soccer goes, he may keep playing for club teams and minor league farm teams and not squander his talent at some school getting a worthless jock degree.
I would just have to cope somehow
I do not know who that is but assume its a good HS runner. How would you feel if German Fernandez never ran well after his freshman year in college?
Hey dumba@s Lukas, I am: mofong was obviously making a joke, making fun of people who talk cr@p about Lukas V for quitting running. Meaning he agrees with you most likely.

I read the Running Times profile. Although he is probably the best high school runner in America, the article suggests that he is merely a very good high school soccer player. His coach is quoted as saying "I think he could play Division I Soccer, no problem."
It would be a waste as he is clearly a far better runner.
He should pick the sport he most wants to do and gets the most enjoyment out of, and no internet troll's opinion should factor into it. That said, I do love to watch him run, so I'll be momentarily disappointed, but who cares.

How could you possibly interpret my post as talking smack about Lukas?
