You can't expect to go through life with everyone doing everything for you. Sometimes you have to go do things yourself. I would start with a popular search engine.
While the Kenyans were doing their victory lap, Davis (DFL) was playing the clown on the waterjump. It was embarrassing to be an American that day. There should be a youtube video on it somewhere.
Very embarrassing. One reason why USA high school running sucked so bad in the 90s.
Davis was an idiot. I seem to recall that he once publically criticized and dismissed Pre as the guy who killed himself in a drunk driving accident. Sure, his statement was true, but it was nonetheless disrespectful and uncalled-for.
Saw it on TV of course and then watched the arguments unfold on TnF list serve, an early version of a forum like this. Davis had an injury but made the final with a couple laps to go he just started jogging, and by the last lap he was clowning.
Basically two camps. The majority condemned his actions and wanted him thrown out of the Olympics. But Davis also had big cult-like following who defended him. The media tore him up too. It all blew over in a couple of days.
Boulami ran the steeple too?

I just watched a video of the race and the kenyan victory lap. You can see Davis being lapped, and limping in, but nowhere do I see him "clowning", though they don't show much of his last lap. please explain in detail what he supposedly did that was so horrible. Not a big fan of his, but I am not sure if you guys are slamming him unfairly or not.
If he did make a fool of himself while coming in DFL, that's some strange behavior for a guy who should just be plain bummed out that he was hurt for the biggest race of his life and came in last.

.
Didn't davis like swim in the water jump or play like a little kid in it once he got dropped?
I don't remember exactly but am not going to rip him. Can you imagine what it is like to win your Olympis semi and then come up with a broken leg in the final? I can't imagine what that would be like. I don't think it makes it ok to turn the water pit into a kiddy park but am not going to rip him.
Yes, his mid-race actions were bad but he limped it in to the finish and should be commended with that.

http://youtu.be/LgJk4OJlze4?t=4m30sHoly smokes. I had totally forgotten about that guy. Tribal tats and all. He was a badass back then, but I bet he hates those tats now that the 90s are over.
What's he up to these days?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
