I'm in need of advice here. My coach isn't very experienced. I go to a school where XC/T&F is by no means a big deal. Me and a teammate are the best runners on the team. Both of us feel that our coach's workouts make no sense. We run speed workouts at least 3 times a week during the Summer. Last season, I peaked in the 2nd race. My team also has a lot of people who suffer injuries periodically. Me and my teammate both have a future in college running. We are both being recruited by D1 colleges. We are trying to run our own workouts, but they don't go good with my coach's workouts. We are running mileage based, while my coach wants our XC team to be based on speed. I really want my senior year to be a good one for recruiting. I don't know what to do in this situation. Any advice?
