you have to define "poor." Poor in the Congo or Vietnam is very different than poor in the United States. Also, living in a dirt floor shack eating rice and beans in Costa Rica when all of your neighbors are doing the same thing, one may not consider themselves poor but if Joe Schmo living in the U.S. driving a Ford when all of his neighbors are driving Mercedes and BMWs may consider himself poor.
Hillary and Bill were dirt poor when they left the White House. Poor folks.
