With Cross country season coming up, and myself actually becoming serious about it, I figured I should buy a pair of racing shoes. However, most of the courses in my league have a lot of pavement. However, my championship course is all trail, and is often very muddy. Should I get flats, or spikes, and then put blanks in the spikes of courses with pavement. I did a good bit of research on this, but couldn't find an answer. I;m a little hesitant about running long stretches of pavement with blanks in my spikes.
