"The gruelling 26.2 mile jog..."
His second half puts him 14th in the all-time GB Half Marathon rankings.
"Nobody thinks maybe I just trained hard?”.
A 2:07/1:01 split? Can you imagine the number of people he'd have to dodge around from that point in the race to get a 1:01 second half? Christ, that'd be well under 1:00 effort.

He probably does Cross-Fit
Even more impressive, according to the chip splits, he ran 19k at 3:38 per mile between the half and the 40k mat before fading to 14 minutes per mile for the last couple km. So fast that the mats in between didn't even record it.
I guess he deserved to walk it in after running a faster than world record mile pace for 12 miles.

I remember seeing him in the start area. He stood out with his little douchebag guy fawkes mask. He didn't have it over his face in Greenwich or on the Embankment. I assume he used it when he jumped the barrier.
A few more that appear to have completed the marathon having skipped miles 14-24. They even had themselves photo'ed with their finishers medal!

Evans, Edwin (GBR)
Simon Way doesn't look unreasonable. Did you notice his bib number, in the 31,xxxx. Got off to a slower start getting through field, hit all the mats (big sign of running the whole course), once he was running times follow a standard run progression. Might want to take him off your suspicious list if you ask me.
Oh, and a few more:

Apologies, you are absolutely right, Simon Way looks legit. My mistake.

He had a niggling injury very early in the race which he managed to shake off with a bit of walking and stretching. Normal service resumed after that, but his hopes of a fast time were over.
A Marathon is always good therapy for a niggling injury.
Why not do a little research before calling someone out as a cheater on a public message board? This took me twenty seconds. Doesn't look like a cheater to me. Perhaps an apology is in order.
Sorry--my turn to apologize. I see you already did. Thanks.
No worries, sorry to Simon Way, my mistake entirely, i copied in the wrong cells from my spreadsheet, 100% sure your race was legit.

This board is so racist!!
