seems to me a better half marathon workout than for the full marathon.
To turn it into a marathon workout, do it in two sets, with a 45-60 minute regular run between sets.
Meaning
2 miles
2 miles
45-60 minute run
2 miles
2 miles
if I wanted to convert that a marathon...I'd say your tempo pace is probably 5:37 or so, which would imply a marathon at around 2:37 per mcmillan.
Am I close?
thanks you too for comments.
yes I hope you are close. I am aiming to break 2h40 on may. I've recently run a Half Marathon where I've run the first half in 35:00 and slowed down to finish 76:30 so I was almost giving up on my 2h40. This workout gave me confidence again and I shared to have some other opinions if it was good enough to use it as a predictor for a Marathon as well.
i've been running tempo runs of 10 miles around 6:00 pace, so 2h38, but i am tired in the end.
