Getting ready to taper for my HM on April 27 and did a hard speed workout last night
8 X 800 with equal recovery rest in between
800- 3:13-3:12-3:10-3:09-3:14-3:13-3:10-3:08
The nice thing is they were not done on a track, they were done on a trail which was definitely slower as there were some sharp turns. It started downhill and then went uphill afterwards.
Elevation was roughly 30-40 ft on each repeat. Thinking on a track this would be close to 3:05 per repeat. Definitely the best workout I've ever done. What do you think this indicates for a 5k and HM. I was hoping to run 1:39:59 for my half in 2.5 weeks. Is it possible??
