Yep. Her pb was 16:22.83 before tonight.
Indoors, she didn't even make NCAAs as she ran just 9:15.57 for 3k. That's 3:05 per k. Tonight, she was < 3:04 per k for an extra 2k.
Pretty crazy.
It seems that Ab'D has other worries besides just Marielle: Waverly Neer 15:37? Ab'D won't even take Heps...
It seems as though these times are awfully fast from top to bottom? (The much-maligned Katie Flood "returns to form" with 15:45?) Since when has anyone from Texas A&M (not named Melissa Gully or Natosha Rogers) run a low-16?
It seems as though they under-counted a lap.
I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on this. What happened? Has she just never had this level of competition before? The idea of running a PR by that much at that level absolutely blows my mind.
What does this convert to from Stanford to a full 400m track?
She did the same thing in cross country. Had an outstanding year. She talked in an interview about never really training seriously or treating running seriously until this year, her senior year. She realized it's her last hoorah and she has to lay all of her cards on the table.
Well after running like that it very well might not be her last hoorah. She ran like a pro.
only 24 lap

She won Big 12 but died badly at NCAAs.

Yup
Did Laura Thweatt just double back from a 4:15 heat win earlier in the evening in the 1500 with a 15:23? Big season ahead!
Is there video of the whole race, or will it be like the mysteriously fast Chinese races? I smell a developing conspiracy theory!

Cream rises to the top.
Zzzzzzzzzz....Jordan Hasay would lap her.

15:19 would be a VERY good 9600m time

Yes, with big PR's in both too. Wonder what she would have done in the 5k without her 1500 before that? Huge talent and hugely underrated. Keep your eyes on this one, she is going to be fun to watch
Won 5k high school indoor national, and for what ever reason in college ran the 800 and 1500,switch her training to 5k this season.
It outdoor season now. Must have been perfect conditions because there are a lot of big pr's on that list.

It's not a given that Abbey would even *run* the 5,000 at Heps. The last two years, she's run 1500/3000/4x800.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
