Ten weeks out now from surgery with Dr. Brown in Montreal. Recovery has been a little slow but steady and progressive. My tear was also rated a four out of five and there was nerve damage/entrapment as well which he removed. The care there was very good and the city is great. If you can make any free time out of your visit I highly recommend it. The swelling afterward lasted about two weeks as the proceedure is an open one and the scar is a few inches long but very thin. I had no post-op bleeding and was walking around freely in about two days. Have now just returned to work (auto assembler, not exactly arranging flowers and filing bills) and have managed through okay. Still doing physio and likely will continue for some time. Can't slack on theb rehab. Just lying around forever would probably eventually work out too but it's recommended to do therapy as soon as you can with a physiotherapist. Hope this helps. P.S. I posted Dr. Brown's info a few pages back. Cheers to all and best of luck.
