Bump. Everyone's hibernating.
Olaf's second-tier distance men have looked fairly good thus far, as expected, but what happened to their top 3? I haven't seen a race from Saksa, Wintheiser, or Brown at all. Same with Lehn.
Also, Haskins? If everyone were healthy this would be a dirty year for 800 on up.

Lehn was banged up towards the end of cross I remember, plus the second semester has yet to start and some may have taken Jterm off or studied abroad.
The Oles have some impressive depth, and it will be fun to see what they can do with more than Escher, Campbell, Meyer, etc. (How about that 2:281k?!?)
The Tommies graduated quite a few top end point scorers, but we all know our history. It would take something special to unseat them, but this year might be it...
Bump after some pretty quick mid season performances. MIACs less than three weeks away! Early predictions? Who's looking good?
Wintheiser should run away with whatever he chooses to run at conference given his opening 8:23 3k. With both Saksa and Haskins not fit, the mile is a little more open. 800 looks wide open depending on if Miles has Feichtinger in shape for indoor, and the 1k as well. 5k will depend on who runs it-- if Berens is in shape he may contend, but he needs a fast race. Otherwise Campbell of Olaf or Tesema can take it as well.
Good to see Haskins rounding into form after sickness. Horner of Carleton also put down a legit time in the 3k.
This 3k race at conference is finna be stackkked. Mile should be gud too.
800: Shafer
Mile: Escher outkicks Haskins
3k:Wintheiser FTW
5k:Campbell
The guys who raced really well at Snowshoe looked really tired today (Schafer, Haskins, Barry, Haase, etc.). Escher fell off of the quick pace in the mile and didn't look to be having the best day. Wintheiser looked good. Campbell and Meyer didn't really have any competition and didn't look super fast in the 3k.
Times on today's races?

Olaf Frosh takes 800 ~1:58
Haskins and Schafer were both 2:33-34 (went out really hard-- 58 first 400)
Wintheiser 4:11.98, Escher in 4:35ish
Campbell 8:39ish, Meyer in 8:49ish
What was their plan today?
Escher seemed to throw in the towel after 800 and Campbell looked like he was out for an easy run with his 8:39?
Wintheiser runs 8:17 for second in the nation with a dirty last k.
The board is set, the pieces are moving. We come to it at last... The great battle of our time. (Until May)
Distance predictions for outdoor?
Subi and Wendroth ran under 15 this past week and it looks like Wintheiser ran 14:19 low last night. Campbell ran 14:37 at the same meet.
Could Barry and Horner of Carleton challenge any of these guys?
I think you should look at the indoor conference results and the outdoor results from last year and tell me what you think. But in all seriousness, will Berens be back in the mix any time soon?

I should rephrase my question. Can they hang with the Oles?
And didn't Berens run 15:20ish or so last week?
Wow.
