Way to go Blank!!
Awesome result. The kid's pretty young for a junior too. What's his best mile, like 4:07 or something? I'm excited to see what he can do next year in the 1600/3200.
Americans spank Africans! .............. oh wait
Will the subject of this topic be changed?????
Only 8 seconds behind the Kenyan winner
Biwott won by 5.5 seconds, but he's legit youth age group, right? At any rate, this is a fine and fast result for Haney. You can't expect that a heat win means too much against a 3:38 guy. Now as for the #2 American junior, that's pretty solid. Webb ran a 4:03 mile as a junior.
What schools is he looking at going to?
Here's the race video. He's number 898. Sub-60 last lap and competitive for a medal until the last 150m or so.

I'm not aware that he's dropped any hints of college choice as of yet.
Letsrun better change the title of this thread to "Haney gets spanked by the Africans."

not only a sub 60 last lap, but sub 60 avg per 400m. about 59.9 but still...
beastly run by the Kenyan, could have run 3:33 with competition!
Well, a 3:44 1500 converts to about a 4:00 1600m. Too bad he didn't have that performance against Ben Saarel in the Adidas dream mile.
Equivalent to a 4:01 mid 1600, or a 4:03 low mile.
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
