I think so and I wouldn't be surprised if that's his plan.
He stated he wanted to move up to the roads when he joined Schumacher... decided he wouldn't just yet but I still think he wants to do the 10K. Clearly the 5K was his rust-buster as he knew he wasn't in shape to run a standard, even for the trials. 10K would have been a waste.
Anyways, the 5K is stacked this year. Rupp, Lagat, and Lomong, all indoor 5000m record holders at one point and all in great shape. Never mind the guys behind them who are pretty solid.
The 10K is less stacked. Rupp is a lock, but Ritz, Tegenkamp, Solinsky?, True, and Derrick are all battling for two spots. Ritz and Teg could normally don't have much closing speed, and the others are less consistent and could falter. If Webb gets in shape fast, I say run the 10K at Pre (or Hengelo) and run the trials.
