Here are videos of some notable performances at the Bill Bergan Invitational at Iowa State University today (It is extremely difficult to film distance races at the Lied center, so I apologize for the breaks in composition and shakiness of the video):
All-American Edward Kemboi of Iowa State ran 1:47.43 to win the 800m. He outdistanced fellow all-American Harun Abda from Minnesota and broke ISU’s school record in the process:

Iowa State All-Americans Betsy Saina and Meaghan Nelson went 1-2 in the 3000m. The early season race was considered a stepping stone in their training cycle, as both runners are focused on peaking for the 5000m distance later in the indoor campaign. Saina clocked 9:04.57 for the distance and Nelson breezed to the line in 9:21.72:

Middle-distance star Ese Okoro blazed to a new school record in the 400m:

Good luck and godspeed to all collegiate runners for a great rest of the season!
