Btw, this site has a virus. Just had a notice from Norton pop up twice. Just thought I'd let you know. Both on this thread. Hope you have anti-virus sw.

Down over 100 from last year. Still have a short run to do later today. Took 57 days off this year. Not all at the same time, but that is over 8 weeks total. Only about 10 of those days were off because of injury. I need to work on that in 2013.
4929.
Still a six miler to go yet this evening.
A paltry and disappointing 1569. Lowest in over twenty years.

Wow I thought this forum was full of SERIOUS high mileage runners.. I only ran ~3700 miles this year and thought that that would be on the low end, never thought it would be one of the highest. Is Letsrun filled with hobby joggers now?
We may be jobbyhoggers but we are smart enough to know this site is filled with runners of varying ages and levels of fitness that may run between 0 miles and 6,000 miles per year.
It has already been well established that no elites post anymore so those would be the runners routinely running 4,000-6,000 miles per year.
That 3,700 miles just puts you near the top of the non-elites. You should have known that.

3900 give or take - a lot of 'badger miles' on easy runs. Most consistent year in a long time, hopefully now set to race quicker next year!
~2200, 6 days/week. Also, I'm 16.
2012 - great year (3,241) sb's 5k -19.35
5 mile - 32:27
10k - 41:21

In 2012 I ran 1,052.7 miles. I'm 50 pounds overweight and am a hobby jogger.
3242 miles, a new PB for mileage by 8 miles. I'm 46 and have been a runner since I was 13.
965. Pretty pleased with that. Next year I'm shooting for 1200 or so.
2700 :( need to stay healthy, i only averaged 52 miles a week, and i'm a 65-75 guy

Troll?
after an easy 5 miler today, I ended the year at exactly 2500. Had a good start to 2012, including a big 10k and a 5k pr a little over a month after that, but then spent much of the summer dealing with plantar fasciitis, which was one of my more frustrating injuries. Finally started feeling back to normal mid-September.
Finished up with just over 2200 for the year. I never kept good records when I was in college so it probably wasn't my highest year ever, but it was definitely my most consistent year of training. I had some down months, but no total breaks like i had in many previous years.
Looking forward to bumping that up next year, atleast to 2500, but I'd love to hit 3000 if all goes well.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
