That is exactly why anything over 800m should be removed from the Olympics. They should not encourage eating disorders.
Do you even know what a war camp survivor looks like. Let me give you and example.

I am a Emerging Elite Runner, 1:47 for 800m, and can tell from experience the 800m is very much so a distance event.
Also could you please clarify by what you mean by your statement about not encouraging eating disorders, because if anything elite distance training forces you into good eating habits. If you don't get in enough calories or are deficient in something from your diet, your performance will suffer greatly, and at this, seconds and even thenths make all the differene.
