She says she would have still won gold if she hadn't taken any PEDs....and a few seconds later she says she didn't even know she was taking anything because she didn't see any changes in her body.
Fraud?

She's right. She never needed drugs, ran her PR before she got mixed up with them. She threw her career and life down the toilet.
How do you know when she started taking them?
The evidence says she didn't get mixed up with Conte until 1999 or 2000 and we have no reason to believe that she was doing anything prior to that. She was insanely, freakishly talented......remember, she was the HS record holder. Blew past everyone in basketball, then came out in 97 at age 21 and started killing everyone right off the bat. That's talent not drugs.
It makes sense. The drugs didn't change her body or make her faster. That's why she took them and kept taking them, even though doing so could ruin her career and reputation.
If you want good documentation of the effect of PEDs on a sprinter, look at Tim Montgomery. BALCO developed the drugs for him, and they took him from an also ran to a world record holder.
She's a proven liar, one who will always say what she thinks is in her best interests. This is another illustration of this.
She is such a fool, to think that anyone honestly believes her "version" of the events. She has put herself on an auto loop just spitting out the exact same excuse verbatim. She couldnt see a difference in her body!? You know when she came on the scene, she was not a buffed up looking woman. She actually wasn't even very cut. She's tall, but over her career you see her getting more manly looking and ripped to the gills, and she didn't see any changes in her body, BS!
Why she is still being given interviews is beyond me, when it is so obvious to see behind the shroud of BS she has peddled for years.
I like how she blamed all her problems on "men." Sounds like she made some friends with some of the women behind bars.
Well, who would have beat her (that was clean)? Thanou and Bloc were just as doped, and Inger Miller and Christine Aaron sat the Sydney games out. Who else was there? Merlene Ottey at age 40??
She was under suspension for avoiding testing in HS, partly why she did B-Ball in college instead. Likely doped from early on.

Never heard this before. Sources?
I am very curious about this as well
I don't know about ya'll but watching her on Pierce, I couldn't help thinking what a fine ass woman she is. Her tears were very touching. Manly my ass... she just changed my opinion on forgiving drug cheats and letting them back in the sport. I could even forgive Gatlin right now.
Marion, if you can read this reach out to me baby! LOL
Doping is expensive. No way Jones could have afforded it in HS or College.
1998 was probably her last clean year after that it was EPO/designer steriods, which obviously really didn't help.
She really did throw her career away. The drugs she took did nothing for her. Sad but I guess thats just how they do, not thinking and stuff.

You have no idea what you're talking about. The drugs did nothing for her? And you know this how?
doper!!
she is a delusional pathological liar. she was banned after high school because she missed a drug test. in hindsight that doesn't seem like an innocent kid misunderstanding the rules now does it? what a joke

She didn't show up for a mandatory test and then claimed that she never received the notice, which seemed hard to believe. She actually hired Johnnie Cochran to defend her and to get the suspension overturned. FYI, Johnnie Cochran was the racist super-lawyer who managed to keep OJ Simpson out of prison for murdering his ex-wife despite a sea of evidence showing that he was a murderer.
I have no doubt that she started doping in high school. She was already running world class times by her junior year in high school.
I remember poor kids in my high school using steroids. Can you guys honestly say that you didn't know people using in hs? It wasn't the rich kids, generally.
3 guys in particular we used to call the "Michelen Men" because they ballooned up and looked like the Michelen Tire guy.
1 of the 3 was wealthy, the other 2 were not at all.
These guys probably got horse steroids from their local gym... but regardless, no reason why Marion couldn't have been using in hs.
ESPECIALLY if she was poor and her parents, a manager, a coach, etc saw it as a way to make money from a kid. That happens all the time. Look at Lindsey Lohan. A talented kid whose parents pushed her and pushed her and likely fed her drugs (of a different kind, of course). Why wouldn't an athlete's elder do the same if they saw it could bring fame and fortune?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
