The thread title is 2012 Coaching Openings... not big time D1 openings, but just plain old openings.

The people being hired, the athletes they will coach, and their friends/colleagues are pretty excited about the deal.

Xavier hiring a D3 assistant is very interesting.

I agree with Coaches News Network... it's the 2012 Coaches Openings. All 2012 jobs should be discussed whether it be a DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, or JC- respect the thread!

If this is true (and I hope it is) It is the first job I have seen where the person is hired is genuinely a better coach then I am.

If you're such a great coach, why isn't anybody noticing or helping you land that next level job? The answer: you're not as great as you think you are. Sorry to break it too you.

I applaud that hiring by Xavier. What's important is the accomplishments of each candidate and what they did at each school, rather than what school they were at. Good hire!!

Sorry, Ray, but this doesn't help. Many of the candidates are 1/3 the size of walker. Who is it?

Welcome to the real world. Possibly you were "more qualified" than those that filled positions. But maybe your arrogant, pissy attitude came across as a bad fit for the department/program.

Any word on UNC? Appears to be 3 positions remaining, but still need distance, sprints, and jumps (unless Langley coaches all of them). Also heard Langley may not stay. Anybody know anything?

What's the deal with TCU? A couple names have been talked about but nothing confirmed.

No, I do not have an "arrogant Pissy" attitude. If I did I would not have said what I did about Art you troll.
