Big changes at Penn State coming as well
Great hire in deed, he will do a stand up job there, I hope he gets a staff that can really do well at Cal State.

Heard they are hiring an Asian coach; has everything they are looking for.
Seriously! How much more change can they handle??? They just changed (over the summer) their throws coach, their jumps/multis guy, their sprints coach, and (I think I heard) their director of ops. WTF?This must be a joke.

Clearly you don't know anything about the guy. Fired from Washington and UCLA. Can't recruit, can't coach, thinks he is the man and his athletes never improve. Great hire you say, please.
first off i ran for the guy so i know he can coach, was not fired from Washington, was recruited to UCLA to coach. Politics at UCLA, but in the end he is back in coaching and leading a program.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he was fired at UW and UCLA. Fact.
Hadn't seen this posted on this thread yet so here you go.

Vaughn can coach. He proved that at Washington. Yes, he was let go at UW and UCLA. I do not think it was because of his coaching. Maybe he didn't get along with the head coaches he worked for. In any case he is the head man now at Cal State - LA.
Does anyone have info on the American International College job posting? What are they looking for? How's the area? Pay/Cost of living?
Has Pitt done anything yet ? Any interviews taken place yet? Do they have a coach with first meet next week?
Anyone know what is up at UNLV? They just put a cross coach in place this past season. Is he gone already? Is the listing just to make it official b/c the original hiring was an emergency hire? And does anyone want to live in LV?

Williams College just hired a coach from AIC to work with their pole vaulters. Could be that this is the opening that resulted from that move. So, a field events coach with expertise in the PV might be a worthy candidate.
I know little about AIC in particular, but The Pioneer Valley is an awesome place to live.
Yay T&F!
