According to twitter, a new CR has been set at Holmdel Park. Chesrerek in 14:52 (if my source is correct). Jeeze.

Official: 14:53
Yep, confirmed in 14:52, very impressive.
Baws
What's the American High Schooler record for that course? Rosa's from last year?
Correct.
Joe Rosa (now at Stanford) ran 14:56 last year.
Cheserek ran 14:52 today.
Also, just in case anyone is interested. Here's a course tour with pictures and audio narration.

The course is tough. Very tough. So Cheserek's performance is extremely impressive.
Believe it was 2 years ago. Joe was out last year I am pretty sure.
My mistake. You're right. I forgot Joe got injured for his senior year XC season.

Holy shit, CBA is unbelievable. I know the course has gotten faster, but to have your 5th man at 16:25 is something special. That's probably worth about a 9:30 or faster for 3200 on the track.
As fast as Cheserek ran here, I don't even know if it was all out. Per the NJ boards, he went out in just 5:01, whereas typically he just goes balls out from the first mile.
rojo: Is Cheserek a future runner for you at Cornell?

Clearly you don't know much about Holmdel. First of all, it hasn't gotten faster, but the runners have (and their track times will bear this out.) Also, the first mile is mostly uphill -- 5:01 is incredibly fast for the first mile, almost certainly the fastest ever. I think Joe Rosa went out around 5:06 in his 14:56 run.
The course is also short of 5k, this is the truth.
Its not

5th guy 90 seconds behind Cheserek is not something special.
Don't get me wrong; Cheserek is phenomenal. But that is not an unbelievable performance by CBA.
What's the white guy record for that course?
What was Craig Forys's record? like 15:16? 14:52 is ridiculous
Rosa - 14:56 don't get no whiter than that ginger.
