The very first thread was in the form of a series of stone tablets, which, unfortunately, have long since crumbled to dust. But yeah, I'm pretty sure it was about pooping in compression socks.

Only things that are embarrasing or dangerous remains forever. Valuable information vanishes very easily. Can you find any remnants of TNFMedia.com?
Well, I posted on that page. Damn, Via D and Brutal were responsible for half the posts!

Seriously, ain't this the freakin' truth. Half the web sites in my "awesome running links" bookmark folder are dead, and some aren't on the internet archive.

I posted on running forums in the early 1990's, but didn't know LR existed until 5 or 6 years ago.

It's not the first thread, but I can remember the first thread I ever read on letsrun. It was titled "Rojo beats Wejo". I think it was at a DC 8k in early 2001.
