After watching the NCAA 800m final last week, Symmonds, Wheating and company must be nervous...Could Andrews, Jock, Greer, and Loxsom beat those guys and get to Korea???

Based on what I've heard from someone close to the group, nothing is being taken for granted.

I believe it. It'll be tough for the college guys though - a lot of them are raced out after long seasons.
Think about this...The NCAA guys were most likely peaking for NCAA's, I know I would and those Nike guys are really at the beginning of their season. They'll be ready..I guarantee it. Not saying that one of those NCAA guys can't slip in there, its happened before but I feel the Nike guys will be ready to roll.
The only one of those college guys I can see making the top 3 is Andrews. He hasnt had to race that much (and fast) and I think he is rounding into form now and not shot like the other college guys will be. Also with how he ran at NCAAs he must be through the roof on a confidence level. I think we'll have wheating, andrews, and kd in the top 3.
3 races in 4 days is no joke. I think Symmonds and Mulder are best equipped to deal with that. If Torrence sticks with it he could well be the third. (All this assuming Wheating runs the 1500.)
I agree, Andrews did not have an indoor season so I think he will be plenty fresh for USA's. I think we will see Wheating, Andrews, and Symmonds for the USA. Symmonds always seems to step up at Hayward Field under pressure. Is Wheating running both the 1500 and 800?
I saw Jock at the UCI track today.
2 mi wu
6-8 X 150 stride outs
2 mi cd
All on grass. I'm not going to mention the discussion with his coach because I know who might be reading, but they are planning for him to be a factor.
He looked good. They better not be taking anything for granted.
Most of this college guys were aiming for the NCAAs right? Lets suppose one of them gets to the team, wouldn't he perform worse on the WC?
So he'd still be on the world championship team...isn't that better than not making the team? He earns it, he runs.
I bet that Salazar and the Centro camp are contemplating moving Centrowitz down to the 8 for USAs, because he has shown immense speed given what he does the last 800 in. Do not be surprised if you seem him in the 800 at the meet instead of the 1500. The plot of the 800 will thicken even more if Centro is in it.

You do understand that you have to qualify for this meet, don't you? What is his qualifying time in the 800? Does he have one?
Ya'll forgot about Ryan Martin.
ur borderline retarded if u think this, go get urself checked out
Wheating, Jock, KD
unless wheating doesn't race 800m
then Jock, KD, Andrews
Others who might play a factor: Primm and Greer at home.

Im not saying they wouldnt deserve it if they earn it, but just a thought if they are not running a 100% at WC whats the point, theyll get bashed for their performance. This is again only if they were just preparing for NCAA.
I love everyone saying KD, you do realize Symmonds has been rocking his shit in USA championships for the past 3 years right?
Loxsom could be a factor as well...Best 400m speed of anyone in the field...Is he strong enough to hold up through the rounds?
Assuming they are there, who leads lap 1 of the final, KD, Jock, or neither?
