I'm looking for a place to do a workout while in Vegas next week. Would I be able to get on UNLV's track? If not, is there some other public track within a few miles of the strip or a grass park?
Thanks in advance for any info.

We both know you're not going to run in Vegas at your APICS conference. Adios' and jager bombs all day baby...I ended up going to my class instead of playing 2k.
You should have no problem. Track is usually not locked although the only entrance area is behind storage building just beyond finish line. You may have to avoid track practice but if you check with the coach I am sure they would accomodate you. She accomodated us this past spring for the 2 weeks we were training there.
The UNLV track is completely accessible to the public. They even have a water fountain.
Since they are supposed to host the Mountain West conference track meet in a couple of years, they may get a grant to add toilets too in addition to the water fountain. Track is at Swenson and Harmon.
I ran there back in August - no problems. There is a sign posted about when the track is open, but I forget the times. I ran at 9am - it was diabolically hot. There is a porta john just outside the track in the parking lot.
BTW, check past threads - this question gets asked very frequently.
