I developed hamstring tendinopathy last June after partially tearing the proximal hamstring tendon (confirmed by MRI). I took several weeks off before starting a lengthy physical therapy program. I started walking and cycling as soon as possible, then eventually tried running in late Fall.
I've tried a variety of things to rid myself of this injury: deep tissue massages, ART sessions, ultra-sound treatments, sitting and rolling around on a tennis ball, a cortisone injection, even took a couple two-week breaks. Nothing has seemed to help. I just got another MRI recently and it showed mild to moderate common hamstring tendinosis.
The last 11 months has been extremely frustrating. Has anyone out here had success in dealing with this injury?
Thanks.
