German 3:56.6 leading the entire race.
German 3:56.6 leading the entire race.
I'm going with 4:04 getting 4th.
Finally goes under the real indoor college record, hand timed, record. Shortly afterwards, announces pulling out of Indoor NCAAs, runs USA 100k Championships instead, claiming it is where the "competition really is," loses, blames injury.
I like this one ^^^^ haha
I think he'll finish second in 3:59 leading the first 1500.
The "real indoor college record"- haha. Yeah, that 3:55.0h was definitely better than GF's solo 3:55.02 FAT.
I got German at 4:05 in 6th.
I think Smith will have him run super conservative due to his recent couple races. I say 4:02 sitting back the whole race and outkicking everyone with two laps to go.

That hand timed was probably already rounded up and run with more laps on an inferior surface.
Nobody considered Brannen's 3:55.03 to be better than the 3:55.0h, yet German's extra hundredth of a second is totally different... Because German is sooo good looking.

Brannen actually ran 3:55.11

Brannen ran 3:55.11
The problem was that his race was superior to the original record because it was FAT and they wouldn't even at least put his name next to the original record holder. Don't they add like .24 to hand times anyway?
Also, Brannen isn't too bad looking himself, so I wouldn't blame it on looks.
0.24 is the conversion, yes. German's time is superior. Brannen should be #2 all time.
No slower than 3:59. I say 3:58.7
I'm not sure how he'll do today, he'll probably qualify. Tomorrow, however I expect a win.

Glad to see he's running the mile too. I don't care if he PRs or not, it's just indoor. I just hope to see him in a good 5K against McNeil and (hopefully a healthy) Derrick outdoors.
It appears as if nobody cares about boy wonder anymore.
Google before you post wrote: Don't they add like .24 to hand times anyway?
.14, which would have made brannen's time the record.
I care. Dude ran 8:34 in HS. That is legendary status, homie.
though let's not forget that Brannen's 3:55.11 was run in a non-NCAA sanctioned meet, as it did not have enough events to be called a full meet. FAT/hand-time aside, this is why Nate Brannen does not have the NCAA record. It would be the same as if a woman's record came in a mens-womens mixed race.
