In the article about this week's events, the author said that not much happened this week except Curtis Beach's 800m time, but how on earth did they skip on Jame's 400m?
Although Beach's time is fantastic, he was an 800m national champion in high school and although his race was amazing I wouldn't say it was completely unprecedented.
However, this week James of Alabama, who is just 17 years old, ran his first ever indoor track race and ran a world leading 400m time. This is by far the greatest performance in the NCAA this year, and the year may end without anyone beating out that performance.
