Maybe your runners can do good results (maybe not optimum) because of high aerobic demand in your sessions, which in your mind are classified as "anaerobic workouts". You see, the aerobic demand is a lot bigger than you believed even in short all out performances, and the demand just keeps increasing more rapidly after repetition after repetition in a traditional interval workout. So after all there is a much higher aerobic effect in your workouts than you obviously believe.
By the way, a 4.15 miler hugely lacks endurance based on that 9.22 2miler. Good luck with it, you´ll need it.
His PR in the mile is 4:15 which he rarely runs with great competition his PR in the 2 mile is 9:02. He ran a 9:22.9 last Saturday so I think he is on a good start, by the way he place 9th at NIKE nationals and had the 5th fastest time at the California state cross country meet in the 5k, 15:02, he didn't run footlocker. And thanks I do need the luck because he was injury free during cross and that also takes luck.
