How did you find LetsRun.com?

While in college, I wrote an article about a guy getting the head coaching job at a D1 school. The following day, the hurdles coach told me a part of the story had made Quote of the Day on this site that I had never heard of. He proceeded to tell me about its popularity and I've been on ever since.

I did a google search for something like "chat with gay, egocentric, and somewhat athletic adolescent punks," and the first hit was LR.

Anton Krupicka called letsrun.com the "center of all running discourse on the web" on his DVD, and said that ultrarunning gets no respect there. So, I had to check it out.

I was looking for a way to make my dreams become reality.

I saw the gigantic phallus on the horizon.

My freshman year of college all athletes had to go to study hall for six hours a week. There was a computer lab. To kill time, my teammates came to letsrun. They told me about it. I've been coming regulary since 2003.

I was huge running nerd in high school. I used to search all sorts of elite runner interviews and research training techniques top athletes and teams used for hours. I frequented many sites and I beleive I found this site mentioned on another site. BTW what other sites did you guys regularly use, i know alot of them are gone

Mensracing-i was a huge fan of the interviews on this site and still think they are better than flotrack's. Although it still is run by NYRRC and had interviews its not as frequent

Run Insight-this one is a little lesser known but still had some good interviews

Pretty Sporty-both of these sites were easily the best sites for New England region photos now they are awful

I wish we still had more variety-Flotrack is a good new site but even though has been able to revolutionize the spectator experience by interviewing on the spot and in person the interviews are not so great some of the time. People tend to respond differently when they are on the spot. If I were Ryan I would offer some written interviews. They make it easier to track questions of interest. I mean an 8-10min interview can be daunting for some whern they only are interesting in two or three questions that are actually asked.

I was looking at the Florida Track Club's website (the local running club in Gainesville, FL) and they have it in their links. Been hooked for the past 2+ years. Many days I wish I could put down this crack pipe so I can actually get some damn work done, but......I GOTSTA HAVE IT!!!!!

People told me years ago that LR had threads with links to my articles and pictures so I checked it out.

well i could go through all this stuff about IP and DNS....but pretty much i typed letsrun.com in my browser and the little men inside found it for me

I saw a link, and a "must read" recommendation for "Hadd's training thread" while reading a "Yahoo" forum about Polar heartrate monitors.

Funny enough, several years ago I was reading a Runner's World article and it mentioned LRC. Since I was always on the lookout for new and better running info I checked it out.

After about a year I cancelled my subscription to RW.

About 5 years ago the guy I run with at work told me about it. Spent years just looking on here for results to races, then only recently started posting. Which may end soon as it's quite frustrating with so many imature posters out there. Oh well. I still vote letsrun.com impose a login account to post in order to keep the trolls at bay.

During my freshman year of college ('04), some of my teammates were discussing the "hotness thread."

Went to a summer Cross Country camp at Cornell- the guy running the camp was the head T&F coach at Cornell, told me about letsrun during a conversation. This was pretty early on in Rojo's career there.

Fall of '02 or '03, I'd found Dyestat and then found Letsrun a few weeks later. My world was changed.
