Anyone with me? Have never sat through an episode.
Anyone with me? Have never sat through an episode.
How sad.
You must be the world’s first living brain donor.
Newer episodes are generally just running off of fumes, but the first few years have some of the best comic moments in television history, especially when Conan O'Brien worked for the show. Your loss.
What do you generally watch on TV?
You’re right.
I never bother to watch the modern episodes - but I’ll still watch re-runs of the early ones whenever I see them featured.
Remember Homer the Inventor - where he attempted to match Thomas Edison at inventing.
Even though I know it’s coming, I still split my sides when he demonstrates his electric hammer and blasts Marge’s face with his ‘quick make-up shotgun.’
And as for the armchair in the living room toilet.

For me it's the episode with Frank Grimes. Just ridiculously funny. It's sad how bad they are now, but back in the 90s it was the best thing on TV.
Iève glanced at it, but never really watched either.
me and my kids watch entire seasons over a weekend
I watch "Curb Your Enthusiasm" when I travel, although I have never watched a Seinfeld episode, either. I watch Robot Chicken when I travel as well... don't watch much TV, I guess. Mostly sports, track, NFL, no baseball, morning Sportscenter, but no real programmed shows.
If you add some The Simpsons and Family Guy, then we're twins.
I'm with you, although it's not like it's just the Simpsons. I don't really watch TV, so there are only a handful of shows that I've actually seen entire episodes of, and a lot of those are just because my friends or family were watching it.

You watch "The Simpsons" with your kids? How old are they, and do they understand The Simpsons' sense of humor? Does your spouse watch it with you as well?
I work for a production company that's filming something about the global/cultural impact of The Simpsons. Would you be interested in talking about your experience watching the show with your family?
weird thought... of course kids understand the simpsons sense of humor. it's not rocket science; they just don't get every single joke. there are different things to appreciate about it at different ages, which is probably part of the reason it's been on tv so long and gotten so/remained popular.
i've been watching it since i was 8 or 9, and now i'm 25.

One of my all-time favorite lines...
You watch morning Sportscenter but not the Simpsons? That is sad, almost as sad as watching the Sportscenter hosts trying to be entertaining. Check out some past season episodes on-line or on DVD, it'll be worth it.

As a captive audience I have seen a handfull episodes but never tuned it in on my own after mid-first season. I rarely,if ever watch any 30 min sitcoms anymore...
oh I get the humor and the underlying social commentary I just do not enjoy the simpson show.
