How many of you have put yourself to the challenge? What level did you get to for the 20 meter bleep/beep test?
What were your mile, 5k times like when you did it? I have yet to try it but plan on it soon.

Made it just beyond 100. 5k time ~18:45-19:15. Mile...I'd guess 5:20-5:30.
There are only 21 levels.
I don't know what the levels you are talking about but i did 136. I was told the school record was 135 when it was actually only 130, so I ran to beat that. Ran a 9:39 3200m that year.
Humm... Well, there may be some upgrades; not sure. Was each 'beep' considered a level?
On mine, it starts with level one and has a series of beeps and then goes to level two with another series of beeps all the way up to level 21.
The audio has a guy announcing the levels from 1-21.
Nice performance. Do you know how many levels yours went to? The audio I have is just under 23 minutes and the test ends.

O ya, I think it increased levels every 8 or 9 maybe? So somewhere around 15?
though it is about the dumbest test ever.....no test that requires you to turn around every 20 meters can accurately test aerobic ability....it tests agility almost as much
our school just got a new cd for it. The test was significantly harder than the previous one. Kids were still in 100's for varsity level (17:00 guys. Test sorta skipped at 110, freaks a lot of kids out.
As a PE teacher I love the pacer test. While the old school mile test is kind of cool and people understand what a time means in a mile, you are always waiting for the unmotivated slugs who walk it, wasting everyones time. with the pacer test the people taking up the bulk of time are the highly motivated ones who are getting cheered on by their peers while doing something well.
I did 128 the school record ( if any kid beats me I may fudge my #)... that is # of beeps not levels.. 5k pr is 15:54, but at the time was running mid to high 16's.... The test did kind of beat me up, on a gym floor and all the turning. I rounded the corners whenever I could.
Wasn't Seb Coe really good at it? I also heard that Steve Nash did really well.
I did 105 pacers, my mile is 5:30, 5k is 19:45. I beat every boy that took PE this year....=D
Who else?
I just did this twice a few days ago with five minutes rest in between. 13/8 and then 14/0. Mile time: 5:00. Age: 41.
i did to level 175..it was the highest it went up to....it was only about 50 feet though....or across the width of a bball court however long that is..
i ran a 5:04 mile 11:22 3200 and 19:15 for a 5k that year ..i was a freshmen
Just did it on 4/22/14 and I got 70 flat and I'm 14 in high school
105 pacers
5:05 mile my freshman year
My 10 year old daughter (4th grade) just did 130 PACER test- set the school record. What does that mean?
My HS coach was a middle school teacher. He would always pay attention to how well kids were doing on this in PE class. Whenever someone score over 100 he would try talking them into running cross country.
I've never done it, but most kids who went +130 have ran under 10 for the 3200m and 4:30 or faster in the 1600m in HS.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
