How many situps do you do each day? Is this enough for a defined six pack?

Zero, no.
The only sit up I do is when I get out of bed and I have a defined six pack. Everyone has a 6 pack. You just need to get rid of the fat in the way of it.
Well, I was thinking of doing 100 - 300 per day. Do you think this will do it after a few months? One of the elite female runners had a rock hartd stomach at Bay to Breakers. All the other runners were skinny, but this one must have been doing 5000 sit ups a day.
Situps are great, but if you want to really challenge your abs, buy a slant board. Trust me, the first time you use it, you won't be able to sit up for a week.
Do you use all of the angles on the slant board or just the steepest?
It has almost nothing to do with situps. Body fat is covering your abs, and you'll have to lose it. I do no core work and have a defined six pack.

Yeah I have a ton of fat in the way of it too.
My goal is to make this thread as awkward as possible.
i do 50 a day and no, i've got like a 2-pack. it doesn't work that way.
Do core every day. None of the exercises are sit-ups. Have a great six pack. Sit-ups really suck for abs to tell you the truth.
What core exercises do you recommend? I have some equipment at my gym for body
Crunches, back bends, knee lifts,...etc. Will this do it?
I used to do a lot of situps (10 - 30 mins daily), and never had a noticeable six pack. I starting doing steroids and now my six pack looks great.
Remember, correlation does not imply causation.
Did you continue doing the situps after beginning the steroids? Do you also take HGH?
Zero, yes.
I do 10 sit ups a day and I don't have a six pack. I also do HGH, EPO, whinny, inject my own blood, ritalin and snort ramzi's skin shavings. Does this help?

Thanks for all of your replies. It sounds like I would need to do more than 100 situps a day for a rock hard stomach. I'm gonna build myself up to a 1000 per day. I'll report back here in about a month on the results.
Why a 1000? This is a big round number, and what Time magazine said that Florence Griffith Joyner does:
"Always a glutton for workouts, she often endures 1,000 sit-ups a day. Last fall she added almost daily sessions with weights, and can now squat an impressive 320 lbs. "In order to burst out of the blocks, you need a lot of leg strength," she says. "Before now I never had that great a start." As for drug use, Griffith Joyner says, "I don't think a person has to use drugs. There is no substitute for hard work."

sit ups arent going to help you with running. A strong core is important in running and maintaining good economic form but do bridges and dynamic excercises, not sit ups. ps you can do all the ab work you want but diet and running will get you a six pack
What kind of dynamic exercises do you recommend? Knee lifts? Butt kicks?
