Halo vs. Tiger Woods!
The U of M guys had BOTH relays DQ'd and still kicked ass. The Hoosiers need to stop making up those lame excuses.
What happened to IU at Big Tens is that the athletes and coaches did not perform, and they got last.
Bump.
Sorry Tony, but no one really cares what De'Sean says the reason is. Everyone knows that the only reason is HELMER. He is coasting through a retirement job and doing a shitty job of it. It's funny where the interview quotes De'Sean as saying Helmer doesn't believe they need to go out west to run fast distance times. Is the man delusional? Sorry Chapman, I thought you were bad but obviously the administration couldn't smell what's worse.
bump, bump, bump it UP!
Let's keep bumping this thread up, because nobody feels like commenting on it, because the interview in question is boring, because Indiana track and field is boring.
Does he have red hair?
At first when I read about the coach feeling they don't need to go out west to run fast I would have to agree. My team in the 1980's had usually 2 to 5 NCAA track qualifiers in distance events and we never left the Midwest except for the Penn Relays. The races weren't as fast then but you could count on 13:40 28:30, easily fast enough to qualify.
However maybe he's wrong. If EVERY body else is running out West for their qualifying marks that may dilute the quality of the meets in the Midwest. Penn Relays distance races sure aren't what they used to be.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
