I might agree with that....but nothing ends anything. Both have a long way to go in their careers hopefully.
The only thing that would ruin German now, is if Salazar and the Oregon boys came a calling.
If he is coached professionally by a good unknown coach he will go further than any american to date.
He is driven by talent and emotion.
Heading at the top of the page reads:
WORLD JUNIOR RECORDS AND BEST PERFORMANCES Site Meter
as at 9th August 2006
I propose Tinman. Tinman could get this guy to break every world record in the books. Watch out El G!

How about the 5k? Or 10k? And the whole Olympics thing? German is talented but let's get a hold of ourselves kids.

Let me guess, one of the kiddies from DyeStat, right? I'm sorry, but while I think that German is a tremendous talent, he has a long way to go before he approaches Rupp's level.
"Junior Indoor Mile"
Junior = Still developing
Indoor = Fewer people run it in peak condition, if they run in at all
Mile = Fewer people run it, period
On the other hand, this past summer Rupp ran the fastest 10,000m ever run by an American in the Olympics. Perhaps German will get there some day, but he definitely isn't there yet.
german just set a world record...that makes him better than rupp....rupp hs never done anything in the world field...think about that...he could very well be a competitor in the mile in the next olympics for usa but has the talent to move up and have the fastest 5k as well
German was obviously not seriously injured at NC's in November. Good to see him dropping a great time, but I have to wonder about the tales of a 'ruptured achilles.' Will he be able to produce when it counts now?
The Mile is the official indoor event that is competed at the Indoor World Championships as well as every collegiate system every year!
you post whore! dont regurgitate my posts back on other threads.
The list you're referring to hasn't been updated since the 9th of August 2006. So there's a chance he did set the world junior record (which isn't recognized by the world governing body of track and field) but there's a better chance he didn't and someone has run faster than both times since then.
As is, it doesn't appear anyone is keeping track.
Sub 13:20 5k prediction now sounds pretty reasonable. 3:35 1500 doesnt sound too rediculous either. Outdoors of course.

LoL! I didn't realize that January was still troll season. So, according to your "logic," German is also a better distance runner than Bob Kennedy, right?
Does anybody know what the first half went through?
by the time hes done, yes german will be better than kennedy...hes 18 for god sakes

Haha.
amazing. takes a bit of forced rest and comes back and obliterates all expectations which were kind of high anyways. the real deal.

You mean like how Salazar ruined Kara and Rupp, not to mention his own lackluster career. Stop hating on things that are not familiar to you, like distance running apparently.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
