So we are being made to run interval workouts every day and the ones that survive will become stronger. By the way we don't have indoor track, only outdoor. Past week and all are supposed to be hard days:
Monday - 5x1 mile
Tuesday - 30x200
Wednesday - 10x1k
Thursday - 12x400
Friday - 5 mile tempo
Saturday - 25x200, 10x400
Sunday - off
What do you think? I have tried speaking out and saying it is too much hard days but they refuse to listen.. I don't know what to d..

well. soon everyone will be hurt if ya'll are doing these workouts even somewhat seriously. i would just cruise them if i were you, and if he yells at you for not working hard enough, tell him you're doing a fartlek. is this the first week/time he's ever pulled this sh*t? (do we really have to use the GD stars??!) i mean that coach is insane--it takes a day or so for muscles to even repair and become stronger...if he's murdering ya'll like this he'll kill not only your confidence but also actually weaken your muscles and make everybody more susceptible to injury! organize a coup! or just bring him articles that talk about muscles repairing and what really makes them stronger (key is REST in between hard stuff)

All that hard running is fine as long as you keep your mileage up. or your time up.
The problem is obviously the Sunday practices, or lack-there-of. You should ask your coach to throw in some fast workouts, such as a ladder of 100-200-400-200-100. Do this 3-4 times. You will see results in a few weeks. Good luck with your season.
You in high school or college? If college, this is a travesty. If high school... well this shit is just too common. So many stupid HS coaches. I knew of one who had the whole track team do football drills (mainly the running through tires thing) every day for a season. The team did just as well as you might expect.

Assuming you're playing straight--a big assumption--this will likely get the coach fired. In that case, what doesn't kill him will make him stronger.
My schedule is 12 miles a day, six days a week. And then I do a 22 miler on Monday to get the week started off right.
Keep it on the crete.

Wow. That's a real throwback schedule. In the 50s and 60s you'd see guys training that way. I'd love to know where your coach came up with that. I had a couple of years when I was doing those sorts of things and it went nowhere for me. What sorts of recoveries do you get?
What to d or more likely what to do? Pace yourself. Don't get sucked into thinking that you have to run hard just because it's an interval session or that you have to be faster this week on one of those sessions than you were last week.
Not trolling. We are really being made to run this. The number one girl on the team a few years ago (and the number one boy, but the number one girl is better comparatively) apparently "did something similar" so we are being made to run this to "produce the same results".. the girl has improved a bit in college, the boy is injured right now.
It's crazy. If we slow down or go "off pace" the coach yells at us and either makes us run more or do a crazy drill/plyometric workout. Surprisingly no one on the team, boys or girls, have gotten injured yet but who knows..
After this week, next week we get two "off days", 1 easy day, and the other 4 days are intervals. That's our down week, the week after that we go back to the schedule I described in the opening post.
So my mileage has also dropped because I'm just so tired to run more after doing all of this. I have no idea what to do.. I really want to run well this outdoor season. My times were somewhat fast on the workouts but I feel dead tired and my legs just feel heavy/drag.
Also, our coach doesn't believe in "junk mileage", meaning that everything must be run hard. Off days are preferred over easy days, so the fact that there is 1 easy day in 2 days is "amazing."

I hope they are doing a morning run during the week as well. These could be relatively easy. Not much faster than 6:00 pace. Maybe strides after.
Also, I suggest sleeping a maximum of 5 hours per night. This way, you can wake up and be alert instead of being lethargic from sleeping too much.
