How does my running in the freezing winter improve my running when the weather warms up?
How has your winter running benefited your spring/summer training and racing?

The only one I can think of..
Running in freezing weather makes your balls bigger.
You mean "my balls" meaning your own not balls belonging to someone else. Unless you direct experience with the balls of several other guys, then you can say "your balls." Your sample size would be much larger, so using your would be more appropriate.

Are you implying that "I am balls?"
I think he's implying he saw you're (you are) balls. So he "Saw you are balls."

Bauhs
What is the alternative? If running outside in the cold is your only option running-wise then it will mean everything to your success in the spring and summer.

HAHAHA!
This is a retarded question. Running in freezing weather brings the same benefits and as running in hot or comfortable temperatures.
What, you think somehow the thermometer decides whether your body will undergo the normal physiological adaptations that result from training?
It definitely takes less energy to run in warmer temperatures...so training in the winter should pay off greatly

That is true...up to a certain point. Running in the winter keeps me going through the hot and humid summer. You think running in freezing cold takes energy out of you, try running a hard 10 miler in 85 degrees and 100% humidity. Afterwards (if you finish), you have one of those days where all you want to do is sit on the couch and stare at the wall.
P.S. I'm from Orlando
Don't run outside in the cold. You'll freeze your lungs. If it's cold enough, your blood will freeze in your veins too.
Haha, right.
There is no such thing as bad weather, only weak minds.
As the weather changes, the gear you wear changes but you never stop running outside.
running in cold weather is less taxing on the immune system.
At this moment i prefer the gym for most of my runs. This will give me similar conditions to June running.

Running for two hours on slippery roads while getting pelted with corn snow and a ball numbing wind makes me strong like bull (and tired as hell).

What is corn snow? Can you open your mouth can catch 'em on your tongue for an instant glycogen boost?
How about that little bit of grey matter you carry around between your ears? Will that ice over too?
