out of curiosity I timed some kids in the local kids on the run running program last summer as they did their lap. kids between 4 and 7 had quite a range based mostly on attention span, i think all of them could have run faster if chased by a lion, a few of them could not move slower if they tried.
I had 1:25 as the fastest and 2:40 as the slowest. No offense but I do not think 1:38 is fast nor a predictor of anything in the future.
I happen to have access to a lion. How early do you think I can start to use this in a training program? My daughter is two now, so I'd like to start planning ahead.
Despite the fact that half of her genes come from me, you'd swear by looking at her that she is half Gazelle, with her long slender legs, so I think she'll be a pretty good runner, but I don't want to rush her.
