Congratulations Eddy Lee! You did not stop until you reached your goal. Don't stop now.

Today, running is a aport.
Congrats!
Well said.
Eddy I have read the whole thread since day one but never responded until around 70.
Your years of effort paid off. Throughout the whole quest you have continued to love the sport. Congrats on your milestone, and your 800. You are in good shape so keep it going.
Congrats Eddy. You are the essence of our sport. Don't stop until you run 3:49
awesome work, eddy. you are the man! and I probably will see you at Waltham again this year, boingo!
oh F*** YES! EDDIE LEE! AWESOME!! I hope that you enjoy every moment of this.
Wow, hahaha.....just catching up with things......congrats Eddy! You must be thrilled. Now make new goals.
In 1977 I broke 5min 1500m and watched a guy at the same meet go sub 4min 1500m......I vowed to do this one day......12yrs later I did a 3:59.4 and I was the happiest man in the world that night.
Cheers Dude.

It blows my mind that the site founder was completely oblivious to arguably the most famous (and annoying) letsrun threads of all time.
Wejo is well aware of the post-nuptial shut-off thread. He's a newlywed but I am sure he will be posting to it soon enough (under a fake name)

Guys, I love you, but you have no clue about what is going on at your own site.......and you ADMIT it too!!!

Very pumped for Eddie Lee.
congrats eddy. 1 of the things u'll look back in your life with a big smile. u deserve it. enjoy it!
Congrats Eddy! Keep rolling and get another shot at a new PR! Confidence works wonders in racing.
He moved out into the lane of high hopes and ran the life out of him. Congratulations, and thank you for inspiring so many.
That is incredible. Since graduating college I have bounced in and out of running (no excuses) and been randomly checking out the boards.
This thread has always been up top and I've read parts of it a few times, but I specifically remember when it first started up because I honestly didn't think much of it (and that stuck out in my mind). I kind of saw it as another one of those goal threads, but it as always stayed up top and now you've reached your goal!
I am incredibly impressed with you eddylee, congratulations on reaching your goal and proving all the negative letsrunners wrong! You are the man and I hope you enjoy your successes and set a new goal quickly!
Congratulations Edward Lee! you did it!
I think I read this thread when it was originally posted, and then now. I always saw the title pop up with thousands of responses and thought, gee, this guy is the best troll ever. But I always wondered if he had broken it yet, and hoped that he would. Especially since he's on letsrun, a place known for burn outs and cynics. Congratulations on accomplishing your goal, Eddy! Now what?

Let the guy rest for a second already! His dream came true
Is Eddy Lee going to stop running now?

I would.
This thread should become a book on how hard work can pay off (and how a lot of people know not what they say). Congrats Eddy!
Hello a few days ago I posted how I was going to run at lsu this weekend and it wasnt a big deal if I did not break 4, well that is all out the window. I am now inspired to run sub 4 as this may be my last attempt at it. I am primarly a longer distance guy but I have wanted sub 4 since last year but gave up on that to pursue my dream of a 31 min 10k. I say congrats eddy lee and tomorrow at lsu I run for you as I attempt to break 4. Go eddylee!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
