Yes i believe this is the guy to do some serious damage to Jeremy Wariner. He is a faster 200m sprinter than Jeremy Wariner. And that’s a factor, Jeremy Wariner is almost dominant in every area's pound for pound, against his other competitors, “Does anyone have more Raw speed that him NO, anyone have stronger Speed Endurance than him NO, technically/timing is anyone better NO? “How the f*uck do you beat him”. Over the 400m, that makes him very tough to beat. Because the 400m, combination of Raw speed, Speed Endurance and rhythm and timing. What you got to understand Endurance is easier to improve that raw speed.
I believe Lashawn Merit has ability, to run very close to sub-20, 200m. I was quietly impressed with this guy last year, watching form my arm chair drinking tea. He's big he's strong, and i think he is going to do some damage to Jeremy Wariner.
I remember back in the juniors when he won 400m title
I remember Michael Johnson saying in 2004 after the Olympic final. He said Jeremy Wariner can run faster than he has just run. But his problem is he is scared to run from 200-300, it’s about commitment and timing “and dose’nt have the mental strength or physical strength yet to do it”. If you noticed in everyone of Prime Time Michael Johnson races, where is the serious damage done. Where was the serious intensified, damage done by that 6ft 180pound black man.
All in the 3rd 100, it’s incredible. I have Michael Johnson split times where the 3rd 100m, is the fastest split of the race, “the fastest split of the race”, 10.xxsec. But Michael Johnson has run every 100m in 10.xxsec, back in 1995 world championships. And on other occasions.
In 2004, Jeremy Wariner was running at very different race. From 200-300 he still had sprinters with him in striking distance.
Look back at everyone one of Prime Time Michael Johnson races, for example best examples.

in 2000 Olympics, Michael Johnson Johnson did most the damage in the 3rd 100m, and then held on from Calvin Harrison or Alvin Harrison "they where twins. Without that damaging 3rd 100m Michael Johnson would not of won the Olympic gold because these Harrison was not being taken apart like past sprinters, who haveall fell victime to MJ devasting last 100m
Technically it was over, by 300m. Too much of a lead, hense this made other athlete’s tense up. Mean while Michael Johnson keeps everything going up and down, all day long. Relaxation and co-ordinations. Equals speed, which damages other sprinters.
But to run that kind of race, you need to be a different kind of sprinting machine, You need Raw Speed, Jeremy Wariner has it. And Clyde Hart, have worked off this speed, with speed endurance. “Understand Endurance is easy to improve than raw speed”
Now 2005, look and Jeremy Wariners race.
Its now starting to Mirror image Michael Johnson’s. It was the differents between 200-300 that took him from a low 44.xx 400m sprinter. To on his day, a consistent sub-44 400m sprinter.
Lashawn Merrit I think is the only other sprinter that has that ability. But its weather he can utilize that raw speed, and power. And weather he has enough endurance. But as I said before.
“Athletes move up in distance for one simple reason, if you understand fitness components speed is the hardest to train, to maintain to improve, its has many factors that make up speed, , plyometrics/power, speed sessions, Weight training /maximum strength” speed/endurance.
“You never see a athlete move down in distance, 400m sprinter suddenly become a great 200 spinter, a 800m suddenly becoming a great 400m sprinter”
“Reason behind this is because endurance, is easiest to build its much more straight forward”
This is one of the factors why I think Lashawn Merrit is a ticking time bomb, the man is big and strong. Fast has raw power and speed, is a better 200m sprinter than JW. And its just a matter of time “before the bomb goes off”, before he can do some damaged to Jeremy Wariner or aleast challenged him.
Listen last year, round about this time. Listen i make exciting dramatic analyses and “technical” predictions, good looking to. Last year, it was all about "Over at 50". Which was one fo my best analyses of all-time. From Boxing, to track and field. That was my most greatest of all-time.
This year, it’s about the 400m.
2007 world champion Lashawn Merrit.
Thank you!
