Isn't it possible that Geoghegan did this on his own?
Landis didn't make the call.

I don't get it? What the big deal about hiding your Ball Park Frank? Maybe Greg was eating too many of them and someone told him to "hide his weenie" before they were all gone???......just a thought?

good point. this was obviously not well thought out at all. as somebody mentioned earlier, you would think the person would at least use a pay phone or a phone that couldnt be tracked back to someone in the Landis camp. how childish is all of this?? i'm loving it.
Sounds like another FRENCH conspiracy.
poor misunderstood Landis ...
Cyclists sound like a bunch of junior high girls.

He could only get that information from Landis. Put a fork in them both, neither will be believed from now on.
Will Geoghegan
cliffs?
You guys are lucky they dont test like they do in cycling for running. You guys are f***ing stupid if you think that running is any cleaner. "bunch of junior high girls" You should go say that to magnus backstedt. Cycling is at the forefront of doping. so you can go f*** yourself
Lemond has some balls telling that story. He is showing a lot of spunk. He'll have Landis crying "Uncle" soon.
This really looks bad for Landis as a person. But how does this prove that he took steroids?
Also, Lemond is not exactly a class act himself

I feel like giggling ... like a high school girl ...
If the french lab had done their job properly, this wouldn't be an issue
Cycling needs to just stop testing, or only produce the occasional positive test on some guy who sucks. Take a page out of the NFL playbook. People don't want to know that they are taking drugs, they just want to see them knock the snot out of each other.
All these positive tests on the stars do is turn people off the sport.
Either get serious about the positive tests (jail time, hefty fines, etc.) or just stop freaking testing. It's not a real difficult thing to see what all this is causing.

I disagree. I like what cycling is doing. At some point in the next 5 years it will be at absolute rock bottom and they will take those necessary steps that you mentioned and clean up the sport. To me its alot better than doing what the NFL and other sports do.
Don't do the crime if you can't do the time..........

Um, I was referring to the drama queen antics, but whatever.
Scary how fast most people jump to a conclusion.
There is a big difference between the fact that phone calls were made and what Greg Lemond claims the conversations were about.
The longer you live the more you understand just how sneaky some people can be and appreciate the rule of law.

I'm guessing that since Landis's own business manager threatened a key witness against Landis (a felonious act), it shows that Landis and his team are pretty desperate to cover their tracks. You usually don't threaten witnesses if you're innocent, even if you know you're being wrongfully accused of something you didn't do. But that's my hunch. What do I know.
wait a minute; didn't LeMond say that Armstrong was 'dirty' too?
If only OJ would have been stupid enough to call Mark Furman on his cell phone and threaten him...

Hey, don't bring up OJ around this subject ... that's my shtick
