WOMEN'S FINISH>> Grigoryeva will win. She won Los Angeles a year ago in 2:25:10, her PR. She was bronze medalist at 10,000 in the European Champs last summer, 30:33. She's a 33 yr old Russian, and was with the pack all the way. She crosses the line in 2:29:17

Runners world website says: "SORRY, PRESS ROOM LOST INTERNET ACCESS", so apparently the problem was the Boston marathon's actual race site, not the website or Wbz radio crew I guess. Luckily we have trustworthy Eurosport. :)

11:58 At 35K (1:52:36) Cheruiyot holds the lead from Kwambai, James Koskei, Ben Maiyo, Kiagoro and Teferi Wodajo (ETH).

12:00 At 35k, Peter Gilmore was clocked at 1:53:12.

12:02 At 23, the split is 1:58:40 (4:45). Only three men remain as true contenders - Cheruiyot, the defending champion, James Kwambai, and Kiagoro - though the latter is beginning to allow daylight to open.
