During my last 3 speed workouts, my leg has started to have this numbing sensation in the middle of the run. Today I was running a 4 mile tempo and felt it at around 2.5 miles and it continued for another mile before it started to fade away. The sensation feels like its in the quad, just above the knee.
I can still fight through it, and it doesn't seem to slow me down but it is very annoying. I don't experience this sensation when I run easy. The only thing I've done differently is switched racing flats, but I don't know if this could cause it.
Anybody ever experience something similar, and what can I do about it?
