He is/was UKA Senior Performance Manager for Endurance and used to coach a group in Kingston, SW London; not sure if this is still going. He's coached some of Britain's top junior and senior athletes. He was also manning Paula's drink station in the WC Marathon.

Alan is UK Endurance Coach, also former general manager of the London Marathon. Some athletes that he has coached (apart from myself) are Mike McLeod (Olympic 10000m silver, 1984), Sonia O'Sullivan, Gary Staines (European 10000m silver 1990), Mark Rowland (Olympic steeplechase bronze 1988), Mark Nenow and numerous others.
Is that the same Dave Hill who used to run for Sunderland Harriers?
