One of my roommates has an account on one of those sites, and we make fun of him every day for it.
I am a shameless internet dater. I no longer have active profiles on any of the dating sites out there but I did meet my girlfriend via one of the sites, and I've been with her for more than 6 months and still going strong.
For the shy and those who wish to "cast a wider net," there is no problem with internet dating. I hate going to noisy, smoky nightclubs, even though I love hard core music.
Here's the Bangkok Virtual Meat Market, the infamous BANGKOK CHAT. (NO, I did not meet my girlfriend on bangkok chat)
How's the love life Jason?
bump this one folks..he needs some serious advice.
my advice: don't look for internet girls to hook up with, or guys for that matter. can we say smelly tuna?
Because everyone who has ever run will describe himself/herself as a "runner."

Can you elaborate on that? Is favoring Internet liaisons correlated with sexual behavior, specifically the number of sexual partners? Is the number of sexual partners one has correlated with the consumption of malodorous marine wildlife?
I want to know if anyone here has hooked up primarily thanks to this site or other running sites.
I once tried it, dating by computer, never ever again KUHA
it's a numbers game. you'll do a lot of emailing and then go on a lot of first dates. but what do you expect, all you need is one right? anyway, most of the girls i met up for a drink were cool and could carry a conversation so it never got weird. a lot of time there wasnt a whole lot of chemistry even though we were both friendly so it didn't go anywhere. i'd say there were two girls i really enjoyed dating off of there. both were actually med students, one was way into the rhythm method which was different, she told me this on the first date too. i say it's not my first choice but if you move to a new place and dont know too many people or think you r dating pool is stagnant, not a bad thing to try. nothing ventured, nothing gained right?

the defn of what a runner is might be very diff to an active poster on this site.
in the real world, a guy or gal who runs/jogs 5 miles a week will call him/herself a runner. (i agree, they are runners, but that is another thread) i think by saying they are runners what is really going on is that they are trying to communicate on some level that they are active, not overweight...
they would not be trying to say they compete or anything beyond they go for a run once in a while. if they did that i think it would be something they would post.
so the moral of the story is that if you want someone to run with do not assume the runner on match.com will be able to keep up with you or that he/she is anything more than a 5 mile a weeker.
