I've spent a chunk of time today looking carefully at fatalities data. Sweden is currently ranked 14 out of all countries in terms of fatalities per million people, with about 18 (as of 30 March). This is roughly 1/10 the value in Italy (205) and Spain (181) but ahead of the US (12) and Canada (3), and on par with Portugal and Denmark (both 16, not so far behind UK (26) and Iran (35). Their fatalities are growing at a typical rate of 20-30% daily, still in the exponential growth phase.
I don't think I'd use Sweden as a good example to follow if I were a thinking person.
