Which to me means the ball was dropped and it was realized that we overreacted for no reason. The media has made it's money from sensationalist click-bait headlines. Mission accomplished.
Maybe the malaria drug really works.

Yes, the malaria drug really works, for malaria.
Umm, he has advisers and I'm sure he is speaking based on what his advisers confided to him.

0.00%. For restart in 2. Weeks.
This has been easiest Easiest pandemic to forsee.
Because we got previews in China, S Korea, and Italy....
We got #s, acceleration;, it’s 7 grade math.
And it’s 2 months up and 2 months down.
Only leeway is we are bigger and more spread out. And did a weak social distancing.

He also said he had it under total control and it was going to suddenly go away as if by "a miracle". Do you believe in miracles?

Yeah. Please point to where this country faltered prior to coronavirus shutting down everything. We had strong jobs growth, economic growth throughout Trump's entire presidency.
I got my biggest tax refund ever this year. Trump is doing a swell job.
I am sure there's considerable pressure to open things back up for Easter (April 12th). I simply don't know enough about the nature of the disease, or its spread in the United States, to know whether this is a likely scenario or not.
Even though I'm a nonbeliever and a Never Trumper, and opening things back up by Easter would further cement Trump's status as "G-d"s gift (in the minds of his base) . . . I would still love to have the outbreak under control by then. Who would *want* it to go longer?
Similarly, even though a terrible economy in November would worsen President Trump's chances for re-election, who could *want* such economic conditions? Recessions cause real pain, sometimes even death, for actual human beings.
I want everyone healthy, and a robust economy, by this fall. What thinking, empathetic person wouldn't?
"Umm, he has advisers and I'm sure he is speaking based on what his advisers confided to him."
Tthen he's an idiot, his advisors are idiots, and it barely needs to be said that you're an idiot.
From the link:
US President Donald Trump claimed at a White House briefing last week that the Food and Drug Administration had approved the "very powerful" drug chloroquine to treat coronavirus.
"Normally the FDA would take a long time to approve something like that, and it's -- it was approved very, very quickly and it's now approved, by prescription."
However, the FDA after the briefing issued a statement saying it had not approved the drug for use against Covid-19 and is still studying its effectiveness against the disease.

I'm not a big fan of CNN. My opinion is they have done nothing but try to troll the public and discredit the President. Trump has a lot of faults but CNN has spun everything to the negative. I find it shameful.
Chloroquine is being used by the other countries. China used it first and decided the max dosage to be 1000mg a day in 2 500mg pills. More than that risks fatal cardiac arrhythmia. With this article once again shows how CNN is more about ratings, panic and making our President look bad than they are about the truth.

This guy has told thousands of lies, but sure the problem is the media...
never going to happen.
What part of he said it was approved by the FDA and then the FDA said it wasn't do you consider to not be "about the truth"?
Here in Colorado, we've had 7 deaths. In fact, no new deaths yesterday and only 3 for the entire week. In 1997, 2.5 million people died from Aids and 5.8 million got the hiv virus in the same year. I realize that was not an air born virus but the consequences of hiv were much worse.
We are doing irreparable damage to the U.S. economy. Not to mention the number of people who will become alcoholic and drug dependent with all of this isolation with nothing to do.
I realize some states are truly in crisis. But the vast majority of rocky mountain states have had little impact from this. And yet, were closing down as much as anyone else.

You might be right. Just today the Surgeon General on the coronavirus task force was complaining on Foxnews that people aren't abiding by the social distancing recommendations. He's pissed and sounds like he wants much tougher standards...and he's a military guy.
And this sounds very concerning - nobody is talking out this!

I'm not here to defend Trump. Why he said that I don't know. He probably assumed it was approved for everything. It is or was approved for malaria in the 40's. Chloroquine has helped in other areas of the world for the corona virus. At least that is what doctors in China and S, Korea have said. Clinical studies have not been completed for it's effectiveness with the corona virus.
So is it totally untrue? I'd say no. My point was with CNN just trying to fear monger.
