Yes. Make it expensive and make it exclusive.
Less packs of budget tourists crammed into planes, tour busses, and cruise ships that are less "experiencing" the world and more just seeing famous sites so they can post photos on social media and become better disease vectors.
Less roving packs of Americans in Europe demanding to get directions, menus, and other services in English because they're entitled Americans.
Less tour busses discharging a hundred chain smoking Chinese nationals with no manners or sense of personal space into an American outlet mall on a Saturday afternoon
Less drunk young Brits vomiting and urinating all over Mediterranean beaches
Less horned up old Germans and Aussies renting underaged sex slaves in Bangkok
So there's a story about a traveler in ancient times who comes up to a walled city and asks the old man sitting outside the gate, "What kind of people live in this city?" The old man asks, " What were the people like where you come from? " The traveler answers, "They were a bunch of lowlife despicable, dishonest jerks." The old man replied, " The people are the same here. " So the traveler moved on. Another traveler arrived and asked the same question, as did the old man reply with his question. The new traveler replied, "They were good, friendly, honest people." "Please come in" the old man replied, " You'll find the same kind of people here. "
Anything you can learn from this?
